Atlantic Geothermal will demonstrate the viability of the non-fracturing, closed-loop energy mine by building a 160MW power plant in stages.
Phase I - Dept of Defense Technical Ready Level 7
• Location secured
• Detailed plan with all regulatory approvals
• Magnetic telemetry survey completed
• Equipment in place
Phase 2 - Working Pilot
• Staged drilling
• One lock
• 5-10K foot depth
• 100 foot horizontal shaft
• Abbreviated loop radiator
Phase 3 - Fully operational power plant
• Depth reaching 300-400° F ground temperature (~ 30,000 feet)
• Full 200 loop radiator
• 160MW power generation
Funding
Phases 1 and 2 will be funded by a combination of angel/venture investment, university research grants and industry partnership investment. Phase 3 will be financed with a bond. The exit strategy options are sale of the company, sale of the plant, licensing the technology.
