Investment
There are two types of investment being offered now.
1. Pre buying electricity with no deposit and no commitment to buy. This investment is not actually a monetary investment as it is free and expresses your intent to buy power when the geothermal electricity comes available. This investment is mostly just your time and saves you a place in line for what could be a limited number of available incentive rate deals.
2. Pre buying electricity with an investment of one month usage. This is a 20 year contract for electricity at a set rate starting when the geothermal power plant goes on line. These contracts are for now only being offered to the five or six companies that will make up the core of a geothermal development project.
The goal is to sell the first C.L.E.M. geothermal power plant and after the facility is built and tested offer an IPO.
Estimated cost of CLEM power plant is $760 million for 160 Mw
Estimated revenue from selling power plant and other fees based on 7 % of total cost
Potential buyers are: Governments, Utilities, large organizations and local consumers.
Time required: 18 months for sale of power plant, 36 months for power plant construction, and 6 months for completing testing.
Exit for early investors after 5 years from point of major marketing funding, with IPO.
