Geothermal Development Project
As part of building a new type of geothermal power plant, 80 Mw of electricity is being sold to companies prior to building the facility. This electricity will be sold with 20 year contracts, incentives ranging between $.02-$.04 Kw/hr. If the companies move to the development project there could be no transmission charge for service.
Five locations in New England are being evaluated for development. Potential companies that may be able to make use of this geothermal development project are: monorail, data storage, glass manufacture, alloy refinery, robotic manufacturing and high pressure manufacturing facility.
Atlantic Geothermal LLC is seeking a start up company to make use of an ultra high pressure manufacturing and research facility. This is ideal for producing high density armor, memory cloth, along with other alloys and products that have large crystal structure like synthetic diamonds.
This will be a first of its kind facility providing a safe and secure;
16' x 16' x 50' Chamber
20 Mw of electricity
$.04 Kw/hr for 20 year electric rate contract
Easy access to chamber without losing pressure

Our presentation to the New Hampshire Energy Committee May 18th 2010 was successful. We improved on the Vermont meeting by asking for a vote from this energy committee to endorse the CLEM concept being developed in New Hampshire. Eleven members in attendance voted all in favor of an endorsement for the project in New Hampshire. The chair Naida Kaen has also provided us with advice for requesting State funding to do geological surveys and site analysis in New Hampshire.

David Reynolds representing Atlantic Geothermal presented a PowerPoint slide show of the CLEM concept to the Vermont Energy Committee. They were very interested and we requested that they encourage the federal legislature to write legislation that would fund deep geological surveys, to be used in documenting how much geothermal resources Vermont has.

Retired Admiral Jay Cohen of The Office of Naval Research provides an introduction and an endorsement for Tony Mulligan, who the Admiral believes may be able to provide helpful advice in working with the government. We contacted Jay to build a collaborative effort for using some of the Navy's submersible equipment in the construction process.

Presented at GRC in Reno, it was well received and recognized as completely different from all the fractured rock concepts that were presented. We emphasized that by not fracturing the rock this new concept could eliminate the earthquake problem that has led geothermal projects around the world to be shut down.
